On today’s Blog we will talk about electric panels. So many times during a home inspection in Boca Raton my client does not know what they are looking at. But I want to help my clients understand every aspect of their home!
As you look at the picture below, the green screw to the right is the bond screw, the red and black wires are “supply” wires for the electric service, and the bare aluminum and copper wires are the grounds (grounds are basically surge protectors). The bare aluminum wire acts as the neutral/ground wire. To keep it simple, hot wires deliver electricity, neutrals bring the excess back, and the ground is a safety device. Simple!
