Cleaning your home has become a lot more difficult, and a lot more important these last few weeks. While most of us are trying not to leave our homes any more than necessary, there is always the risk of bringing the virus back home from a trip to the store or any other places that you visit. There is still conflicting information on how long the coronavirus can survive on surfaces, but it is good to get into the habit of cleaning more than usual.

It is especially important to focus on areas of your home that are frequently touched, such as door handles and light switches. Since you most likely will touch these areas first thing when you step into your home, you need to disinfect them frequently. Using a solution with 2% bleach or at least 60% alcohol is sufficient to kill the virus on a surface, but it will need to sit on the surface for a short period of time before it is wiped off to be effective.
